Special notes and considerations

Do I need to provide a Police Certificate for Express Entry?

Yes. If you are Invited to Apply (ITA) for Permanent Residence, you will be asked to upload a police certificate in your Electronic Application for Permanent Residence (e-APR). Instead, you must upload a document that states: “I am applying from a country that directly releases police certificates to the Canadian Embassy in Tel Aviv.” Please follow the instructions above to get your police certificate.

Your police certificate will not be handed out directly to you; it will be directly released either to the Canadian Embassy in Tel Aviv or an Israeli embassy abroad upon request. The criminal record which may be handed out by the police directly to you is not acceptable.
